HMRC made the NFT arrest for the first time. In the case of fraudulent actions, a part of cryptocurrencies was also seized, and three individuals were arrested. The British authorities claimed that more than 200 fake firms also participated in illicit actions (the exact number is still unknown). These fake companies are accused of tax fraud worth more than a million in British pounds.
On Monday, 3 NFTs were confiscated and virtual assets worth more than £5,000 as part of the fraud investigation. At the moment, this is the first case where this type of token was involved.
