FCA plans to review the LME approach

This week, the FCA said it plans to review how the London Stock Exchange handled the sudden crisis that was in March 2022. On March 8, the LME suspended nickel trading due to the fact that an unstable situation had appeared. The LME was able to restore trading on March 16. The FCA is responsible for controlling the LME as an investment exchange. That is why the FCA decided to conduct the reason why trading suffered. The banking regulator is also conducting a review of the LME’s activities to check areas that can be improved.
