ASIC excludes Union Standard director from providing assistance for ten years

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission has prohibited John Carlton Martin from offering assistance to customers. He worked as a head of the company between 2014 and 2019.

In addition, he has no ability to manage companies for five years. 

ASIC, the Australian watchdog, mentioned in its official announcement that this prohibition and disqualification were reasonable.

Union Standard, which is currently in liquidation, operated as an Over-the-counter derivatives issuer, offering CFDs trading services ​to its consumers.

It is important to note that the ban follows liquidations of companies where he served as a director.
