Russia does not plan to prohibit citizens from purchasing digital assets abroad

It seems like Russia will not follow China’s example and will not prohibit digital assets and purchasing them on foreign exchanges. Senior government officials proved this decision.

It is important to note that citizens in this country will not be able to pay with virtual assets within the country, but they are free to use and purchase cryptocurrencies beyond Russia.

Russian Finance Minister Alexey Moiseev, while speaking to journalists this week, mentioned that digital asset settlements are prohibited in the country. He also highlighted that it is allowed to purchase and use virtual coins outside the Russian Federation. It will remain so, and there are no plans to modify anything yet.
