The Nepal Telecommunications Authority has disallowed the use, operation, and management of online virtual currency exchange platforms and apps.
Nepal’s digital communications regulatory body forwarded a paper on illegal activities last Monday. Within the paper, NTA clearly mentioned digital assets.
NTA recognized that transactions completed with the use of virtual assets are becoming more and more common through the past few years but NTA still declares any online services associated with cryptocurrency banned from being used.
In March of this year, NTA was requested by higher authorities to shut down any and all online services associated with crypto.
