Kenyan students Francis Maina Wambui, aka Nick and Zellic Alusa, were taken into custody due to allegations of using illegally raised money to purchase bitcoin.
It is reported that Nick and Zellic Alusa, to make this scheme possible, created various fake email addresses to gain the information needed to surpass bank security. The main target of the accused individuals was people living across the border.
After going through the transactions, the two students used the money gained to support a lavish lifestyle. Within their possessions, a document was found detailing the purchase of expensive property in Juja.
