Even in the recent cryptocurrency crisis, Brazil is still supporting digital assets and is looking to make it an official means of payment within the country. All in all, it’s hard to tell yet if Brazil is just following El Salvador’s movements or acting on its own accord.
Although the goal of the proposed addition to an already existing legislation related to digital assets isn’t to make digital assets a completely legal way of payment, it will certainly help crypto get into that role sooner.
The legislation is more focused on the protection of users and their personal data when transferring and buying crypto.
